Beautify Your Home With These: Part 1

50 Items To Beautify Your Home: Part 1: 1- 10

I know all too well how challenging it can be when trying to figure out how you should decorate your place, especially when you don't have much to deal with. In my opinion, it doesn't matter how many decorative items you have, just as long as each item compliments the area it is placed in.

Just in case you wanted to add more items to your decorative collection. There are at least two places where you can find just about anything you need at great prices. The stores I am referring to are Walmart, and Amazon

I am a fan of both of these stores because you can shop online and I always find what I need or something better than what I started off looking for. Both Walmart and Amazon are known for having some of the best deals.

For many, when it comes to your home, you want it to look nice according to your taste. You also want it to be comfortable and the best place where you can chill. So.... where do you start?

You can begin by starting with the decorative items what you already have. Look at your space and see what would be the best place to put each item.  and also add what you like within your living space. There is nothing wrong with blending the old in with the new, just as long as you make sure one is complimenting the other.

I have compiled a list of decorative items that you may have or would love to get. So let's get to it.

1. Curtains: Curtains can be used in a variety of ways. They can be used as separation when wanting to define spaces within a room. You can use them to be hung in front of interior windows for privacy and as a decorative element. Curtains can also be used  to enhance the look of your bathroom. They are available in a variety of sizes and colors. Make sure you take accurate measurements so you can get the length and width you need.

2. Flowers: I think that flowers bring a touch of beauty to any space and I love all the colors because they are so easy to work with. I tend to use a variety of colors that compliment the space. I have used both real and artificial flowers {not necessarily in the same area}. My favorite colors are white, yellow, orange, burgundy, pink, deep red, purple and more. The flowers you use can be real or artificial. It all depends on which ones you want.

3. Plants: Greenery is always a nice addition because plants can blend in perfectly within just about any space. If you choose plants that are real, you must take care of them so they will continue to grow. If you prefer artificial plants, they will also look good within your space. Just remember when you do your dusting, don't forget, your artificial plants will need to be dusted too.

4. Candles: I prefer the scented soy pillar candles. My favorite scents are Vanilla, Apple Cinnamon, Warm Apple Pie, Cozy Comfort, and Pina Colada. Because candles can come in a variety of sizes, colors and scents, it should be easy for you to find the ones you like.

5. Vases: When it comes to vases, I usually take my time and pick these out. I am not only considering the color scheme they would need to fit into, I also have to make sure that it is beautiful and catches my eyes. Vases also can come in a variety of shapes sizes and designs. Make sure you are choosing the vases that you like.

6. Place Mats: These are perfect for those of you who love to look at place settings even when you're not eating. Because I am so particular on how I would want my dining area to look, I usually make sure my place mats don't look cheap and are very nice. When you choose the right place mats according to your taste, they can add a touch of elegance to any dining room. They come in a variety of styles and colors as well.

7. Fruit Bowls: In my opinion, I feel that fruit bowls are a must have and they can compliment any kitchen counter or dining room table. I prefer the wooden fruit bowls because I feel that they can fit in well with just about any surrounding.

8. Shelves: These are great for storing just about anything. You can use the standalone shelves to store books, DVDs, blankets, boxes, collectibles and more. The shelves that are mounted to walls can be used for plants, pictures, candles, and more. Shelves can come in a variety of sizes and a few colors too.

9. Wall Decor: Just to name a few, pictures, paintings, murals, sconces, mirrors and wall hangings are all considered as wall decor.  What I like the most about wall decor is the fact that you have plenty of options to choose from. That in itself  should make  it all that much easier to choose items that fit into your color scheme. Make sure you are paying attention to the sizes so you can properly estimate the sizes you may need.

10. Throw Blankets: I think these are cool too because you can drape them across the backs of chairs and love seats. Throw blankets are also just the right size to cover you when you just need to take the chill off.  They come in solid colors, prints and different patterns. I prefer the ones that are soft.

I hope this list has helped you come up with additional ideas for decorating your space.

Until next time. Love and Live Your Life.
