How To Create The Best Classified Ads

Before you begin to create your ad, the first step should be, to think about your offer. What do you want the readers to know about your offer? What message are you trying to communicate and deliver to the readers?

Think about it this way. When you see advertisements, what is it, about that particular ad, that makes you stop and read it? Think about what grabbed your attention and drew you to it. These are the type of questions you need to find the answers to. Once you figure out what those answers are, you can use your answers as a guide in helping you create incredible classified ads.

In my opinion, classified ads should consist of short, descriptive titles consisting of no more than five words. The only exception to this rule is when you are creating an ad for "How To" do a specific thing. I feel the titles of these types of offers should consist of no more than ten words. The body of classified ads should consist of a brief description including just enough details (your details should get straight to the point), to your readers will know, what you have to offer in a matter of seconds.

The body of the ads should also include contact information. This information can be name and address, phone number, email address, website address (url) or any combination that works for you. You want to make sure that readers have a way to contact you.

You can also practice writing your classified ads so you can see which classified ads have the highest potential in creating responses. You can find out which ads have the best responses by testing your ads. The ads that produce the amount of responses you feel you need, should be the ads you use.

The truth is this. As you continue your efforts in creating ads, you will begin to see which ads actually work. The more you practice writing ads, the better you will become.
