Here Are 7 Great Topics To Write About
Starting a blog online is not for everyone, but it is still one of the easiest opportunities to take advantage of. Not only can you build it into a lucrative business, it can be a very good way to express your thoughts on just about anything.
When I started this blog, I really didn't have a clue what to write about. It took me a long time to get up the nerve to just start writing. I knew that if I started I would connect with the topics I cared about.
Because I am interested in so many things, it was extremely hard for me to settle on just one topic. It made me feel like I wasn't being true to myself or giving my readers what they deserved.
So I decided to do a mixture of topics that actually relate with one another. This in turn gives me endless material to build on, write about, and it gives my readers interesting posts that they read, learn from and enjoy. It is my readers, who count the most.
In my opinion I believe that the hottest topics that anyone can write about are: Money, Beauty, Fashion, Health, Food, Product Reviews, and How To: Do-It-Yourself.
- Money: There are so many areas that can be covered under this topic. You can discuss how to make money, how to save money, how to budget, How to invest money, how to borrow money, etc. When it comes to your money, what ideas do you think about?
- Beauty: You can choose from a huge variety of topics under this one category as well. You can start with beauty tips, homemade products, skincare regimens, hair care, cosmetics, beauty tools, facial care, fragrances, or personal care and more. There are so many categories that fall under this one topic. All you have to do is start with just one. Which ones are you going to choose?
- Fashion: This can also be a lot of fun by introducing to the world, your style of fashion. You can take pictures of yourself in different outfits, you can talk about the latest trends in fashion, you can give styling tips, you can teach others how to style themselves with various pieces of clothing, you can write about the accessories like, or you talk about how the clothing is made and if its worth the price. Remember, there is always something new coming out.
- Health: I think this is a very good topic because of all the concerns many have regarding their physical and mental health. You can introduce healthy eating plans, slowing motion exercises, stretching routines, home remedies that work, you talk about nutritional supplements, meditation exercises, or self healing techniques. Think about what you can do for someone else.
- Food: What a tasty subject. This may be an easy niche to settle into. You can create tasty recipes, try new recipes, write food product reviews, you can share your best food buys, you can share your opinions about the food when dining out, or you can write about healthy food options. There are so many writing topics you can connect to this topic even if it's just one.
- Product Reviews: What's so great about this particular topic is the fact that you can review whatever products you want! You can choose to review hotel stays, books you have read, the best cookware to use, best skincare products to try, the coolest clothes to wear, the best cleaning tools to have, or whatever you like. the choice is yours.
- How To: Do-It-Yourself: You will be surprised at how many would love to do things on their own, especially if they can access what they need on their phones. You can share how to sew clothing, how to build chairs, how to cook for a big event, how to play a card game, how to style your hair, how to apply makeup, how to bake cookies or how to arrange flowers. Just think about what you can do.
I also believe that if you want to write about more than one thing, it should be in such a way that it keeps your readers interested in what you have to say. Think about it this way, when you are in a conversation with others, doesn't that conversation usually involve more than one topic?
I know that you may have been told to stick to one niche when writing, but think about this, is that really how you talk to others. I am not saying that you cannot stick to one niche, you can if that works for you, but for me, I like to stick to the topics that I am really interested in and write about. I am for "Team: Do What Works For You".
I cannot and I do not fit in the molds of most and doing my own thing is just a freedom I am not willing to give up.
