Why We Should Get Our Natural Beauty Back

Why We Should Get Our Natural Beauty Back

Here is another blessing I am so grateful for. I had to just think about how thoughtful "Our Heavenly Father" is. There is not one person I know that can even come close to "His" immeasurable Greatness.

When "Our Heavenly Father" made us, "He" provided us with a fully layered covering called skin. It serves as a protective shield for everything that is beneath it and how we care for it will show up in its appearance. In order for the skin to continually be in its healthiest state, we must consistently take good care of it.

In my opinion, the best way to care for the skin, is to use the best products for the skin. We have to go beyond the commercials and see what really nurtures, moisturizes, and heals the skin.

The skin is the largest organ organ on the body  it protects us from getting infections. According to this online article "Anatomy, Skin," found on the website of the National Library of Medicine,  the authors state

The functions of the skin include

  • Protection against microorganisms, dehydration, ultraviolet light, and mechanical damage; the skin is the first physical barrier that the human body has against the external environment (Lopez-Ojeda W, Pandey A, Alhajj M, et al, Updated 2022).

We must do our part and keep taking care of the lovely skin that shields us; I am not saying throw out all of your cosmetics and the things you use, but give it more thought when choosing the products to use.

Many skincare products contain natural ingredients, but they also contain other ingredients that may be harmful if used over an extended period of time. In other words, you could be giving your skin very small amounts of harmful elements in the hopes that you will get the desired results. Is it really worth it?

I cannot afford to take that kind of a chance because I take care of two different skin types, combination and sensitive skin, I use the natural skincare products that will care for both.

Shea butter, cocoa butter, olive oil, castor oil, and aloe vera gel are all products I enjoy using, however I do not use them all at once, not everyday, or for the same purpose. I use them based on the areas of my body I need to work on.

Despite the fact that all of these natural products can be excellent additions to almost any skincare routine, make sure you do your homework, apply them correctly, and reap the full benefits.

I hope this post has been informative and helpful in some way.

Until Next Time, Enjoy Loving and Living Life.
